Principal's Corner

Welcome to Naramake Elementary School! I am proud to be the principal of this wonderful school community, where a dedicated, caring staff works closely with our PTA and School Governance Council to create a warm, safe, nurturing enviornment that ensures all students grow and thrive academically, socially and emotionally.

The staff’s commitment to excellence is one of the reasons Naramake Elementary School enjoys such a fine reputation. It is also one of the reasons our school was designated to be Norwalk Public School's "Quad D" Lab School, where meaningful relationships are the back-bone of our work around Rigor and Relevance in the classroom.   We are passionate about educating the 'whole child' so that all students can be the very best they can be during their time at Naramake and throughout their lives!

If you like to get involved in your child's education, you've come to the right school!  We have an amazing group of parents who volunteer to serve on our PTA and School Governance Council (SGC)..

The  PTA works tirelessly to organize events that bring families, staff and students together through fundraising events and events that are just "fun".   Through their work together, members of our PTA make lasting contributions to our school and develop strong friendships that last through the years.

Our SGC is made up of parents and teachers and is responsible for making programmatic, budget, facility and staffing decisions for our school.

Don't have time for 'committee work'?  No problem.  Countless parents help out by working in classrooms, helping with celebrations, and volunteering at special events.  Whatever your strength, you can have a positive impact on your child's education and our school community as a whole.

As the saying goes, "It takes a village".  Everyone who visits Naramake immediately recognizes our community spirit, our 'village'.  Come visit us and see for yourself!  We'd love to meet you!

Sincerely,

Jane Wilkins  (wilkinsj@norwalkps.org)
