The Naramake Elementary School PTA (NES PTA) extends a warm welcome to those of you who are new to our school, and a “welcome back” to all those returning for the school year.

The purpose of our volunteer organization is to aid students, staff and parents by providing support for educational needs within the school; to promote open communication between administration, teachers, and parents; and to encourage a sense of school community, spirit and pride through special events planned throughout the year.

These are just a few of the positive impacts made in the past through PTA funding…

  • A brand new computer lab in our schools library
  • Provided grades K-5 with a Maritime Aquarium program offering exciting science-education experience at the Aquarium, in the field and at school.
  • Enriching assemblies focusing on topics from character education to healthy living
  • Sent all students grades 3-5 to Norwalk High School for their production of Hairspray
  • Outfitted each classroom with walkie talkies - crucial to the school’s new safety protocols

It takes many hands and minds to support these programs and activities, so We Need Your Help!  Working together, we can truly make a difference at the school and in the lives of our children.

    How You Can Help:

  • Become a member! For as low as $10.00 you can become a PTA member. $5.50 of your donation will be sent to CT State PTA for membership dues. This will give you access to many state and national level benefits: PTA State and National Benefits . In addition it will give you a voice at Naramake. You will be able to vote on the PTA's budget, officers and bylaws. Please see the membership form for more details.

  • Attend PTA general meetings and stay informed by reading PTA weekly email updates. The PTA general meetings are a great way to meet people and to find out how to participate and volunteer in the PTA activities and events.

  • Support PTA sponsored fundraisers. Our PTA funds and sponsors numerous class trips, assemblies and improvements to our school through a variety of fundraisers. ALL participation is optional, please support those which make you most comfortable.

  • Participate in PTA sponsored activities with your child.

  • Volunteer your time whenever you can. We need as many volunteers as possible and are flexible enough to work around your schedule.

Your involvement with the PTA will benefit everyone, but the greatest reward is seeing the smile on your child's face when you are involved in his or her world. So please join us in making this a successful year!

Thank You,

April Fraleigh and Amy Antonacci
